Wall Canvas | Twin Cities Children & Family Photographer

One of THE most treasured photos I’ve ever taken is this one right here. My three kids have always gotten along pretty fantastically. I feel like the luckiest mom in the world. This portrait has hit the back of my business card many times throughout the years and I just might have ordered another set with this one yesterday. It also frequently graces the very top of my website. What can I say? I take every opportunity to gaze in awe at my three beautiful kids. My oldest is days away from graduating high school so I’m going through all of the emotions. I finally decided to order this on a big beautiful 18×24 canvas to display in our living room for ever. I cannot wait to get it up on the wall.

I’ve also always wanted to get a large canvas printed of a photo we took on a trip out to the Great Smokey Mountains years ago. The only reason I haven’t is, it seems every time I open the photo, it goes through a new round of edits. I scrutinize every single detail and never feel like it’s finished. I finally took the plunge and ordered this family photo as an 18×24 canvas too. I had to add a bit more to the top and bottom of the image so that the canvas wrap didn’t cut us off at the shin & admittedly, I didn’t do a perfect job on the grass……it’s a bit of a repeating pattern, but ultimately I decided I didn’t care so much since that part is going to be wrapped around the end of the canvas anyway. Just for fun, I also added the original version below so you can see all of the changes I made. Normally I put these before & afters on a slider, but they are now two different sizes because of the expansion for the canvas size. You still get the idea. And yes, I did have my tripod in the car all day with us just to find the right spot to set up for a family photo & this happened at the very last light of the day.
