Brand images & product photography are definitely a different genre than portraits. The editing involved is not at all the same process. The setup in my studio can be similar depending on the shoot but sometimes images like the ones below require a lot more space and room for movement as well as a light setup that results in a bit more backend work that I normally have. In portrait work, my light is most often much closer to the person I’m photographing. During this shoot I had it further away because often times there are quick transitions in posing and sometimes shooting in motion to get just the right look, which requires my light to be further away to give us space. This creates more shadow than I would like so I really take my time perfecting these edits.
Check out these fun before and after’s from my shoot with Katie at Charmed Clothing Boutique. If you haven’t stopped into her store or shopped online, you just have to check it out! She is constantly getting cute new clothes into the boutique. You are sure to find something, but check back regularly or you might miss it! I linked her store website, but if you missed it, here it is again, click here —> Charmed Clothing Boutique
