Hi! I’m Julie, your photographer, creative director, editor in chief, client communication specialist and everything in between. For the most part, I run this business on my own. My husband helps with some behind the scenes stuff, like building props, moving heavy things in and out of the studio, and installing flooring. I am so proud of all of the work that I’m able to do on my own, but I couldn’t do it without an amazing support system!

Would you believe me if I told you this faux fireplace was made out of doors? An entire year ago, I purchased 6 doors with the intention of painting them and using them as backdrops. That never happened. They sat in our garage and took up space. I’ve been wanting a faux fireplace in the studio for quite some time & have been trying to find one on Facebook Marketplace, but I was either too slow and someone purchased one I wanted or I was never replied to. My husband was looking to get rid of these doors and I came up with the crazy idea of cutting them up & making them into a fireplace. Turns out, my crazy idea worked really, really well. Most of my ideas start out as some crazy thought that randomly pops in my head & oddly enough, most of the time it’s while I’m showering.

So there you have it. You know the secret to all of my grand ideas. They’re random thoughts that come to me in the shower…..and a lot of the time, it takes the hard work and assistance of my husband to make it come to life.
