These two awesome, silly kids helped me break in the new “simplicity sets” that you’ll see available for children’s portraits. They were the perfect amount of silly and happy to really help me showcase exactly what happens when kids come in for a fun session. We make lots of silly faces. I attempt to tell jokes. We laugh. And they just let their personality shine.

One of the KEY INGREDIENTS to a successful portrait session is to HAVE FUN and BE SILLY! It’s so much easier to get natural smiles out of your kiddos if they know I’m there to create a fun and memorable experience for them rather than a “sit here and smile” portrait. My favorite part of working with kids is seeing all of the faces they come up with when I tell them to make the silliest face ever. I love showing them the back of my camera too because that usually makes them want to try all kinds more of them & we just end up with lots and lots of laughs!
