Today’s edition of Wedding Wednesday is going to touch on a couple things. The first is an upcoming Wedding Expo. I will be at the Minnesota Bridal & Wedding Expo this Sunday, November 12th held at Concordia University. I will have an expo-day-booking-only discount on all packages that day, so make sure you stop by and chat!

The next thing to address for wedding Wednesday is of course, this week’s wedding feature. I photographed Tony & Bryana’s wedding at The Lodge at Crooked Lake in Siren, WI, which is just down the road from where I grew up. A little known fact: my assistant photographer for the day is one of my best friends & we stayed at my parents’ campground. We played board games, had a slumber party & ripped around on my parents’ go-kart, driving through mud holes SEVERAL times. My pink tennis shoes were never the same color after that, but we had SO MUCH FUN!

The Lodge at Crooked Lake is such a gorgeous wedding venue and was absolutely perfect for them and their beautiful family & friends. I haven’t done this yet with one of my wedding features, but for this one, I’m going to walk you through the day in a shortened version. There are way too many photos to take you through the WHOLE day.

We arrived early in the afternoon to start capturing the wedding party getting ready. This usually means we are capturing the last details of the groom getting put together, the bride getting zipped up and her look perfected, along with dress & accessory details.

The bride & groom chose to do their first look before the ceremony while their parents and the bridal party and parents watched from a distance.

It was a great choice for them because it allowed us photographers plenty of time to capture other little moments and many details in between the ceremony & reception, as well as many, many family portraits and different groupings of the bridal party. I’m going to share just a few!

Of course, next up was the beautiful ceremony.

Portraits of the beautiful couple

Are you still with me? I hope so. These reception photos are something to swoon over.

Let them eat cake!
