I’ve been thinking a lot about newborn sessions lately, likely because I also do contract work as an editor for a national newborn photography company so I stare at cute baby faces for at least half of my day. Your typical in-home, perfectly set & very posed newborn session takes two to four hours. I know as a parent, having someone in your home for two to four hours not long after you’ve had your new baby can be a bit exhausting. That’s why I’ve decided to move over to focusing on more natural images.

Because these sessions don’t involve a ton of posing for your newborn, it will typically take a shorter amount of time. I don’t need to bring a large setup to your home. I only need my cameras, a reflector and a flash in a pinch.
