I’ve been trying to find more creative ways to get involved in my kids’ extracurricular activities. I want to support them, but also give them space to do their own thing. My daughter was in Seussical the Musical Jr. earlier this year. The show was absolutely amazing! There were so many challenges, especially with Covid numbers spiking and switching to distance learning for a couple weeks and practices being canceled. Despite missing several chances to practice due to Covid, the kids persevered. You could see the joy in their faces as they danced and sang all over the stage. I am so proud of all of them!

One of the parent volunteers reached out to everyone to find helpers for many behind the scenes tasks. One of the tasks was taking headshots for all of the cast members to be displayed in the lobby with a bio under each one. I jumped at the chance to take cast photos! I even got to sneak in a little time to watch them practice. I knew right then that the show was going to be so fun to watch!

I didn’t ask for permission to post the photos of all the cast members so I cannot share them with you, but my daughter did tell me I could share hers. I can’t wait to volunteer to do these again next year!
