It was a Wild day….. | Wild Mountain Alpine Racing | Taylors Falls MN

Some people like to hibernate inside when the cold hits. Not us. We embrace it…….or at least we try to. My family is a bit tougher than I am. It takes three times as many layers for me to survive the cold like they do, but I try. One of our kids is on Wild Mountain’s D-Team (development team). There are four races a season and we jump around to different ski hills. This week’s race was at Wild Mountain. She raced at Trollhaugen a couple weeks ago. We love both places. They each have qualities about them that create completely different experiences.

There were probably 100s of racers at the race from several different places, so I took a little time to capture just a few racers out of the crowd. The weather sure was nice!

And our reason for spectating on this lovely race day……our racer on Wild Mountain’s D-Team. You would never know she joined two years ago after only skiing twice at the end of the season before. She was extremely quick to learn and she absolutely loves it.

Of course I also had to capture a few images of the rest of my crew because my camera came with. So did a couple of my sisters. We’ve been teaching them to ski too. I think great progress was made and fun was had by all.
